I took a break from our fitness challenge posts last week because we were running the WonderMill giveaway and because I have been working my fingers off trying to finish up my 150+-page cloth diapering manual, Confessions of a Cloth Diaper Convert! My projected release date for the ebook is Monday, March 25, and my team is working hard behind-the-scenes to get it out with a launch party full of amazing prizes!
Today, I’m excited to revisit our fitness challenge with a giveaway bundle of two amazing ebooks–100-Pound Loser: How I Ate What I Wanted, Had Four Babies and Took Control of My Weight and 42 Days to Fit.
I’ve recently been blessed by the stories of other moms who have struggled with weight loss after pregnancy. I know I never struggled with losing weight until after my second child was born. In fact, I thought “baby weight” was a myth. I’m now living proof that it is not!
When you hear the small fraction of moms who don’t struggle with weight loss, it can be discouraging! The following two moms have ran the weight gain-weight loss gamut and both have amazing stories to share!
42 Days to Fit is an ebook written by several of my blogging colleagues and a couple of my fellow Keeper of the Home contributors–Brandy of The Marathon Mom and Stacy of A Delightful Home. The main author, Brandy, is the mother of 8 boys, and she really struggled with “baby weight” during her most recent pregnancy. She admits in the book that she gained 60 pounds! (Which encouraged me because I gained 50 this past time, and I thought that was a lot!)
But guess what? Brandy was able to lose her weight by buckling down for a 42-day fitness challenge! She gives you the realistic challenges she designed in this book.
Check out her before and after pictures!
This book is currently available in Kindle format (if you don’t have a Kindle, you can get a free Kindle app. for your phone or computer). It sells on Amazon.com for $4.99.
The title of this book alone is incredibly encouraging! The author, Jessica of Muthering Heights, lost a whopping 100 pounds after having four babies! I saw Jessica in person at the Allume Christian Social Media Conference back in the fall. She was one of the keynote speakers. I remember thinking how cute she looked and how I could never pull off her style in my postpartum body.
I didn’t know that she had once been overweight–so overweight that she had 100 pounds to lose! Even losing the 15 more pounds I want to lose (and it would be nice to lose 25!) seems so daunting to me right now.
This book will serve as an encouragement to you whether you need to lose 5 pounds or…like Jessica…100.
The book sells for $4.99 on Amazon.com.

Erin’s Week 7 Update:
Weight: Down 3 lbs.! (150 now)
Total Weight Loss: 7 (I am happy with this! While fully breastfeeding, it’s safe to lose one pound per week, and that’s where I’m at! )
Inches: 1/4 inch (now 31 3/4 inches)! I’ve now lost 3 1/4 inches total from my waistline! BUT, I’ve lost the least the past two weeks. This is also when I slacked on my diastasis exercises. This proves to me that those exercises really do work!
Diastasis: 1.5-2…I have slacked off on my tummy exercises, and I feel like my diastasis is getting worse! I attended a free webinar from Fit2B with diastasis expert Julie Tupler this past week, and I realize I need to be wearing my splint and to keep up my tummy safe path!
Biggest Challenge: My book is making me fat! Not really, but I can see where the life of a writer can make it a challenge to fit in fitness (probably harder than the life of a mom!). I am so glad I don’t do this full-time! I have been hitting the book pavement hard the past two weeks, and that has coincided with me slacking on the fitness front. My goal has been to work out three times/week, but this past week I only worked out twice. It’s better than nothing, but it’s not where I want to be.
Week 7 Mini Challenge: Eat some kind of protein first thing in the morning-whether it be an egg, a slice or bacon or even a handful of nuts! I am eating a handful of almonds first thing!
