Happy New Year!
As I enter each new year, I love to go back and reflect on the one before. It’s especially fun to check out which posts resonated the best with readers each year!
It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone–and 2015 marks 4 years of The Humbled Homemaker!
If you want to take a peek back in time, check out my:
This year I’ve also included the top posts from our wonderful contributing writers and guest posters, the top posts from the archives as well as my favorite posts to write!
From the practical to the inspirational, here are the favorite posts from 2014! I hope you enjoy this year in review!
1. 32 Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Men (written by a man–my husband!)
In his first post EVER, my husband knocked it out of the ballpark!
His timely post on stocking stuffer ideas for men resonated with so many women looking for Christmas gifts for their hubbies!
2. My Secret Weapon for Getting Housework Done
I must admit: I hate housework. But I love listening to podcasts. Combining the two has worked wonders in my home.
3. How I Make an Income from Home
In this post, I revealed that I make an income from home via blogging. I’m so thankful for how God has provided for our family through this venture that is truly a passion!
4. A Grace-Filled Answer to the Essential Oils Wars
I love using essential oils, but I so tire of the essential oils wars. This post was my attempt at a grace-filled response. And I found that I’m not alone in these feelings.
5. Dear Mom Who’s Done Having Babies
I’ve struggled this year about being “done” with having babies. My husband is not ready for more, though, and our youngest is now 28 months. Writing this post was therapy for me. And the comments section turned into therapy for many others.
6. 35+ Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Freezer Meals
For years I thought I couldn’t do freezer meals because our family is gluten and dairy-free. Boy was I wrong!
7. How a $15 Craigslist Find Revolutionized My Laundry Routine
When I bought a shelf on Craigslist that ended up being much more than I bargained for, I realized that it could revolutionize my laundry routine.
8. How to Avoid a Stomach Virus After Being Exposed
The stomach virus can be the WORST. Amen?! When I was able to avoid getting it after being exposed, I couldn’t keep it to myself!
9. Why We’re NOT Saving Up to Take Our Kids to Disney World {And What We’re Saving Up For Instead}
I actually had to edit this post hours before it published to update this! This Disney post just went live yesterday, yet it’s already made it’s way to the #9 spot of the year!
I thought this post might ruffle a few feathers, but I tried really hard to show that I do not feel that every family who chooses Disney World is wrong. Honestly, I had no idea it would cause the huge stir that it did!
I just have seen a big societal push toward every family making this their dream destination, and it has burdened me.
10. The Ultimate Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Chocolate Dessert Round-Up! 100+ Recipes!
Being gluten-free and dairy-free does not have to equal chocolate-free! This round-up of gluten-free, dairy-free dessert recipes would be perfect for Valentine’s Day, Christmas or any time of the year!

I missed the laundry post before but your routine is similar to ours. I however don’t have the cool sorter and Craigslist shelf. Going to be keeping my eye out. I have been listening to various podcasts since you wrote that post. There are times when I keep working so I can keep listening.
Erin
I feel the same about the working so I can keep on listening!
Lisa @ This Pilgrim Life
