I think I’m the rare woman who does not enjoy shopping. Give me a good book, a warm cup of chai and a comfy chair any day over dragging me out to the stores.
But we all have to shop at some point, right? And when I do shop, my main focus is saving as much money as possible.
As I’ve become {slightly} more tech savvy in recent years–AND have added to our family, I’ve increasingly ditched in-person shopping and have opted for shopping from the convenience of the living room laptop.
I’ve found this can make price comparison even easier. All I have to do is go from website to website to see who carries whatever I’m looking for at the best price.
But I recently discovered an app that makes price comparison even easier–and way less time consuming!
I now both save time and money by using the Presto Savings app. It was very easy to Download the Shopping Tool and Start Saving with Presto Savings.
Basically, when I am looking at an item in certain online stores, the Presto app will pop up a little window with that same item priced at other stores!
This can let me know in an instant who has the best price on the item!
Amazon.com is one of the main places I shop online because their prices are usually better than many other stores. When I reviewed Presto, I was looking at car seats because we needed to replace ours.
When I was looking at car seats, it was like magic: Voila! The Presto pop-up window showed me other prices compared to Amazon!
If you are intersted in this free tool as well, you can Install the Shopping Tool.
Along with instant price checks, Presto also offers retailer coupons. The app instantly notifies users of available coupons and better prices on the products they’re looking at – while they shop, right through their browser.
Here’s a little video showing how it works:

Hi Erin. This is an awesome app. I know for me, personally, this app will come in handy. I shop between Amazon and Ebay and usually compare prices as well between the two. But having the prices compared between the two for me in one place is definitely more more convenient and a time saver. The past six months or so I have been doing more shopping on Ebay only because Amazon charges tax and Ebay doesn’t. I can order more on Ebay than Amazon because I don’t have to pay tax. I do take surveys to get Amazon gift cards but that usually takes me anywhere between 4-5 months, so I haven’t been purchasing anything on Amazon until I have over $40 or more in gift cards. Oh and you can buy used stuff on Ebay too, like vintage cameras(I am a passionate collector :D). But yes, I will be definitely adding this app to my arsenal. Great post! Thank you and have a great rest of your week! 🙂

I only like shopping out of necessity. I’d much rather curl up with a good book. I have used Amazon’s app for Andriod that let’s you scan the barcode of the item you are looking at and then it pulls up the equivalent available on their site. I haven’t ever used Presto, but it sounds great. Technology can be pretty cool at times. Thanks for the info.
