Note from Erin:
I have never personally tried Beach Body, but I know several of the ladies in the Fitting in Fitness Facebook group have, and my friend Brandy has me intrigued! Check out what she has to say about it in today’s post! Brandy is also offering free email consultations to anyone who wants help finding a home fitness program that’s right for them–as well as the opportunity to be in one of her online Challenge Groups, where they will receive free coaching, accountability, and encouragement for 60 days. Read more in the post to find out how!
If you’re like most people, your new year’s resolutions included goals for getting healthier or in better shape. Every year, millions of people promise themselves that this will be the year.
But, sadly, most of them don’t ever realize those goals and they are left making themselves the same promises year after year. Why is that?
Some would say that it’s because of lack of strength, will power, discipline, or because of health issues or time constraints. Others would say that they are following the wrong dietary recommendations. All of these may be true at times, but I believe that one of the biggest reasons it’s so hard for many people to stick to their health and fitness plans is because of a lack of accountability, encouragement, and community. That’s why I adore my job, which is also my ministry.
Feel Like You Don’t Have Time to Work Out?
I am a busy homemaker, a homeschool mom of two boys and am pregnant with my third. I’m studying to become a holistic nutritionist, I’m a blogger, run an at home business, and am an active part of a growing ministry. I know what it’s like to feel that you just don’t have time to work out and eat right. But I also know that it IS possible to make your health a priority, as long as you have the right tools and support.
I am a Team BeachBody Coach, and it’s my job to help people make their goals a reality; to meet them where they are, come alongside them, and say, “Let’s do this together.” It’s one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, and exactly what God has called me to at this time in my life.
BeachBody has created the absolute best home fitness programs, including P90X, Insanity, Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, Les Mills Pump, Les Mills Combat, Slim in 6, Power 90, Body Gospel, Hip Hop Abs, and much more. They also are the creators of the most amazing whole foods, super food shake on the market, Shakeology. (For an in depth review and look into Shakeology ingredients, visit these posts, Part 1 and Part 2.)
These tools alone allow BeachBody to be incredibly effective at pursuing their goal of ending the trend of obesity in America. But what really makes them stand out is the accountability each customer receives. We don’t want anyone to feel like they’re in it alone.

This is primarily accomplished through what we call Challenge Groups. What’s a Challenge Group? Basically, each participant buys a challenge pack, which is their choice of workout program plus Shakeology. Then I invite them to be a part of one of my online accountability groups.
Each group has their own private Facebook group where we check in each day, telling what workout we did, how well we ate, and if we drank our shake. I also share articles, pictures, videos, recipes, whole food nutrition advice, and more, to keep everyone motivated and on track.
The best thing about challenge groups is that proximity is not an issue. I’ve had challengers from all over the United States! And the second best thing? It’s FREE! Once you’ve bought your challenge pack, you get free coaching, accountability, nutrition advice, and more from me for 60 days and beyond. The combination of amazing fitness opportunities, spectacular nutrition, and personal coaching, makes success much more likely for everyone. It’s amazing how just knowing that someone will be checking in on you at the end of the day makes you much more likely to get your workout done!
Results
I taught group fitness for 6 years before beginning this venture, and I rarely saw the kinds of transformations at the gym that I see every day with BeachBody. I’ve seen so many success stories since becoming a coach.
There is nothing to describe the feeling of getting a testimony from someone I’m coaching about how great they are feeling, not only about their weight loss, but about themselves. Two of my current challengers have lost over 17 pounds and are feeling and looking great!
They are making themselves, and their health, a priority, and it’s paying off. They aren’t taking any magic pill or spending hours on end at the gym. They are focusing their diets on more whole foods, drinking Shakeology, and sticking to their workout schedule. And these are just a couple of examples.
I’ve had clients who, not only have lost weight, but have seen improvements in symptoms of multiple sclerosis, and others whose digestive disorders have improved significantly as a result of drinking Shakeology daily. This isn’t just about weight loss. It’s literally about improving overall health.
I’ve personally done P90X, Insanity, Les Mills Pump, Turbo Fire, and Les Mills Combat and I drink Shakeology daily. I have loved every one of these programs and they have delivered amazing results. Of course, whole foods nutrition has played a huge part in it as well.
During this pregnancy, I plan to continue with Les Mills Pump, Les Mills Combat and Turbo Fire. I believe that women should treat pregnancy like they are training for a marathon. After all, your body works at least that hard or harder during labor and delivery. The more fit you are and the stronger your muscles, in most cases, the faster and easier the labor will be, AND those post baby pounds will come off a lot faster too!
BeachBody literally has something for everyone. With so many amazing fitness programs, anyone can find the right fit for their body and lifestyle!

Erin’s Week 4 Update:
Weight: Despite the initial shock of losing 4 lbs. the initial week, I am now convinced it was a fluke. The scale that week said 153, and this week’s it was 155.7 (down 2 from last week). I think saying I’ve lost 2 lbs. total may be accurate.
Inches: Same as last week….1 inch total from waistline.
Diastasis: It seems like it’s down to about a 2?
Biggest Challenge: This may be typical this far in, but I’ve been a little discouraged this week. I only worked out twice (which WAS last week’s mini challenge, but my personal goal is to exercise 3 times/week). I was fighting off a cold with echinacea and elderberry all week, so I took it more easy. The timing of Burn Bootcamp is also frustrating. It’s just not conducive to family life (5:45 p.m. every night), and I’m finding how hard it is to truly “fit in fitness” as a mom of young children. It definitely takes thinking outside the box!
I’ve also been discouraged that it seems to be taking so long to lose weight. I know “slow and steady wins the race,” but I have never had a problem losing weight before. In fact, I was always very, very thin before my second–and especially my third–pregnancy. Those babies are totally worth it, but I want to be a healthy mama for them!!
On an encouraging note, I’m finding that I have more energy and sleep better when I exercise, which gives me motivation to continue! And, I noticed that a pair of jeans fit much better this week!
Week 4 Mini Challenge: Work out 3 times this week.

I’d love to win!
