Check out the 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Gift Guides for even more ideas!
Christmas is just a few weeks from now. If Will had his way, we’d be decorating for Christmas on November 1st.
However, Fall is Erin’s favorite time of year, so we are typically the kind of people who wait until after Thanksgiving for anything Christmas – music, decor, etc.
However, our one exception involves buying gifts.
We tend to buy a few things throughout the year as we find them on sale and then finish up the last couple of months with money from our Christmas savings account.
As we’ve looked at gifts, we thought it would be a good idea to put together a list of some popular or unique gifts for 2017.
We tried not to repeat many items from the 2016 Gift Guide. However, there were a limited number that we did list again just because they are some of our personal favorites. However, for the most part, you should find new ideas.
Obviously, this list is not meant to be exhaustive. It could go on forever. We kept finding awesome and interesting things to add to it but had to stop adding them!
Hopefully, it will give you some ideas. If you don’t see anything specific, then maybe it will at least spark some other ideas for you to explore.
Gift giving is such a personal, individual thing, so think about the person’s likes, hobbies, or interests and find something that fits.
The gift ideas are divided into groups. Some of the ideas could work for more than one group, and we tried to include some things from small businesses that can be personalized.
There are always things like iPads, game systems, an Apple watch, etc., but we tried to stay away from those things in our guide. They still make great gifts, but we wanted to think outside of those things.
You can also consider doing non-toy gifts for your children such as experiences or magazines. Or make sure to think about non-junk stocking stuffers as well.
There are varying price points on this list, so we would also encourage you to make sure you are staying within your budget and select gifts accordingly.
If you are looking for a specific age range or group, perhaps this will help:
And if you are looking for handmade items, you can always check out Etsy or your local artisans.
Below you will find a list of gifts. Click on any of the links for more details*.

Thank you! Glad you found it helpful! 🙂

Awesome ideas. I love homemade items, especially for Christmas. I make natural makeup. In fact I use all my own products. My favorite is a balm with Frankincense essential oil.
