I found a secret weapon in getting housework done, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
You know that just because “homemaker” is in my blog title that doesn’t mean I’m the perfect wife, mother and house cleaner, right? I’m humbled. Truly, I’m very, very humbled in the area of homemaking.
I think part of it is that I am just easily bored and easily distracted. If you were to tour my home on a random day, you’d likely find a half-folded basket of laundry, a partially-loaded dishwasher and the vacuum standing in the middle of the floor (because I thought of something and just left it there mid-cleaning).
These half-done jobs are mostly the result of my ADD tendency to think of something else I need to do in the middle of a particular chore. I don’t even realize I’m doing it most of the time!
Housework just doesn’t come naturally to me. Truly, I’d rather be reading, writing, daydreaming, having coffee with a friend or playing with my kids.
But washing dishes? Folding and putting away clothes? Mopping or vacuuming the floors?
Just shoot me now.
But let’s face it: As homemakers, housework is just part of the job.
And I’m excited to share something I’ve found to make the job more fun, less boring and, dare I say, easier!
And this secret weapon is FREE! (Cue the “Hallelujah” chorus!)
Enter podcasts.
No, truly, it really is that simple.
I had heard of podcasts for years, but I didn’t start listening to them until, oh, maybe about six months ago.
Before that, I thought I was too technologically challenged to even figure out how to listen to a podcast. And honestly? I wasn’t quite sure exactly what they were!
Now, I do not know how I would ever get household chores done without listening to my beloved line-up of podcasts!
What are podcasts, anyway?
In a nutshell, podcasts are like radio shows–except you download them via your computer or smart phone. You can search for, subscribe to and listen to podcasts via iTunes, and there is even a podcasts app for the iPhone, which is what I now use.
I can easily keep mobile by listening to podcasts via the wireless headset my hubby got me for Christmas. (I LOVE it. Seriously, I can even hear podcasts clearly while vacuuming!)
I love listening to podcasts because they encourage me, educate me and empower me to be a better wife, mom, homemaker, business owner, writer and person. And I love even more that I can reap all of that while doing household chores.
Call it multi-tasking or killing two birds with one stone.
I call it a match made in heaven.
As an extrovert, I don’t like working alone, and the voices of those on the podcasts keep me company.
There are podcasts out there for every subject imaginable, but today I’d thought I’d share a few of my favorites.
My favorite podcasts:
It may sound odd, but I feel like sharing this with you is a very real peek into my private life. You might find it surprising that not many of these podcasts are on humbled homemaking or natural living (two big themes of this blog). I think that goes back to my tendency to get bored easily. Since I write about these topics, I prefer to listen to something else.
So, not all of these podcasts may interest you. For that reason, I’m also sharing some podcasts that I think you might love.
{Motherhood & Life in General}
Inspired to Action with Kat Lee
I love Kat–seriously love her. She is one of my favorite people, and she doesn’t even know it! This is my favorite podcast for moms. It truly lives up to its title to inspire moms to action. I was honored to be a guest on Kat’s show a few weeks ago, talking about how moms can take personal retreats.
Some of my favorite episodes from this one include “Our Top Tips for Summer Travel with Children,” “Have Children, Will Travel” (with my dear friend Stephanie Langford), “Say Goodbye to Survival Mode,” and “Can You Chase Your Dream and Be a Mom.”
The Art of Simple Podcast with Tsh Oxenreider
Tsh and I seem very different in personality, but I really love listening to her perspective on things. She shares my love for reading and travel (although my travels have been on a 5-year hiatus…more on that…one day).
Her podcast focuses on how to cultivate a more simple life.
Some of my favorite episodes have included “Freedom from Stuff” (I literally started cleaning out our “junk” room mid-listen…which, unfortunately, meant the laundry didn’t all get folded!) and “Confront Your Junk.” I also really enjoyed her interview a few months back with my friend Stephanie, but I couldn’t find it on her site (if you subscribe, though, you’ll be able to scroll until you find it).
{Writing, Business & Leadership}
I’ve always loved writing and being a leader (even in elementary school), but I’ve increasingly fallen in love with business (being a work-at-home mom) as well.
When some of you first found me, I was a stay-at-home mom who could barely afford it. Now, we are able to afford me being a stay-at-home mom simply because I have turned writing and blogging into a business.
So, these may not be applicable to you. But if you have the itch at all to write or blog or be a work-at-home mom, you might enjoy these.
The Portfolio Life with Jeff Goins
I’ve been reading Jeff’s blog for some time, but I just recently started listening to his podcast. He’s a true kindred spirit. He lives and breathes writing. He cannot not write. I can relate.
He challenges me to write more–to write better. In fact, as I was listening to his episode on three simple steps to starting a writing career while putting away laundry last night, I realized that I’ve been doing you a disservice. I haven’t been writing enough. I haven’t been honing my craft. I want that to change.
How They Blog with Kat Lee
I wasn’t kidding when I told you I love Kat! This is actually my most favorite podcast ever. It is very applicable to where I am in life right now, and Kat is just so encouraging. New and seasoned bloggers alike can benefit from her show. I can’t give specific episodes that were my favorite because I have truly enjoyed them all.
This is Your Life with Michael Hyatt
Michael is one of the most inspiring leaders I’ve heard. After a career in publishing, he began his own business, mentoring young leaders to go out and make their lives count. I was first introduced to Michael via his book, Platform. If you feel called to leadership of any sort, I recommend his show. There are too many episodes I’ve loved to pull out any in particular. This is another one I don’t like to miss!
{Spiritual Growth}
If you’ve ever wanted to peek more inside my beliefs, this is the podcast to listen to. This is my church’s sermon podcast. If I ever have to miss a Sunday, it’s nice to be able to go back and listen to the message.
Podcasts that might interest you
When you first discover podcasts, it might be easy to get overwhelmed with just the sheer volume of them out there. Don’t.
Instead, listen to a few that you think might interest you and then pick a handful that you think will benefit you the most. Here is a list I’ve been curating for both you and me.
{Writing, Business, Leadership}
Smart Passive Income with Pat Flynn
This is the number 1 podcast I hear others rave about, but I had listened to one episode and just didn’t dig it. However, after listening to Pat’s show on email management over the weekend, I think I’m giving him another try!
If you aspire to work-from-home or just have the entrepreneurial bug, Smart Passive Income is supposed to be excellent.
{Motherhood & Life in General}
I’ve read some of their blog posts but haven’t gotten into the podcast yet. It sounds good, though.
Living Inspired with Tricia Goyer
Wife, homeschooling mom, seasoned author…Tricia seems like a woman I’d love to learn from! (And I already have through her great eBook on working from home–Balanced.)
A Slob Comes Clean with Nony
Her podcast title makes me laugh because, well, I’m sure a humbled homemaker like me would surely benefit from this one!
Revive Our Hearts with Nancy Leigh Demoss
I really enjoyed reading Nancy’s book on forgiveness as well as her book Lies Women Believe a few years back. I’ve listened to two episodes of her podcast, and they both had me in tears.
Now some questions for you:
Elizabeth
This was a great post! Definitely different from your usual! I love the idea of listening to podcasts. What I do to get through the drudgery that is housework is by setting a timer and putting on my favorite UPBEAT music! It has to be upbeat. The timer is the most important thing because it keeps me accountable, and I kinda like to race it! I also turn off the t.v. and put my smartphone out of site, nothing is more distracting than those two things, at least for me. Thanks again for your wonderful posts!!
Audrey
I’ve recently started listening to Podcasts while cleaning as well. I listen to Dave Ramsey and Ronnie Floyd (he was my pastor for 7 years). I would love to find some more!
Roberta
I love podcast too. I am a big tv person so I love listening to podcasts that recap my favorite tv show. Afterbuzz TV is the best podcast for that. That recap so many and talk for 45 mins to an hour on some.
Sarah @The Teacher's Wife
I am so with you, Erin! I have ADD when it comes to housework, which drives me batty b/c it takes me ten times as long to get something accomplished since I’m all over the place!! And like you, I don’t even realize I’m doing until an hour later when I wonder why I never got the first load of laundry going – ah!! I’ll give this one a try!!
Julie
I love the wellness mama podcast, and also Abby Glassenberg’s “While She Naps” podcast on running a creative business. I also like The Paleo View, and of course Katie Lee’s podcast is awesome!
Amy
A tiny bit different from the previous suggestions… But i love love love the duncan trussel family hour. Hes witty, insightful, spiritual, comedic and very interesting…
Maybe start from older episodes and listen forward because he has struggled with testicular cancer on his podcast, his mothers last interviews and subsequent death, spiritual teachers and developments and interviews with authors, musicians and inventors…
Highly reccomend! I also have science friday podcast from npr because im not always around a radio on friday nights!
Laura Weymouth
Great suggestion Erin!
I used to listen to podcasts a lot when I worked as our church campus custodian. 8+ hours of cleaning a day is insanity inducing if you don’t have some sort of entertainment. Having been a custodian, my household chores seem so fast I just listen to music while doing them…after all, I can vacuum the entire house in the time it used to take to vacuum the church sanctuary alone!
There are a lot of great free mp3 downloads on the Sovereign Grace website (www.sovereigngracestore.com) I especially enjoyed a seminar series by Carolyn Mahaney on Titus 2 that you can download for free here:
http://www.sovereigngracestore.com/Product/A1145-00-51/To_Teach_What_Is_Good_%28Titus_2%29_MP3_DOWNLOAD_SET.aspx
Vanessa
A couple of months ago I started listening to podcasts while doing housework as well! Some days I listen to audio books instead. But both things definitely help. Great post!
Heather @ My Overflowing Cup
I’ve never listened to a podcast before, but I can see how listening to something interesting can be helpful in getting a job done. You aren’t alone. I feel the very same way about housework. In fact, my vacuum is still sitting in the kitchen where I left it last night!
Caroline @ The Little Things Blog
I’ve been listening to podcasts regularly for about two and a half years now, and I love it! I listen to them while I exercise, while I clean, and when I’m in the car! I listen to a lot of the same ones as you do, and definitely recommend them!
Jessica B
Thanks for the list, Erin! I, too, love Kat’s “Inspired to Action” and Hyatt’s “This is Your Life.” I will certainly be checking out some of these other shows.
My husband and I have recently started listening to the Phil Vischer podcast. I know they’re all on iTunes, but I listen to them off of his website here: http://philvischer.com/the-phil-vischer-podcast/the-phil-vischer-podcast-archive/
Phil and his two co-hosts are funny, thoughtful, and apply a Christian worldview to the news of the day/week.
We also listen to The Mark Gungor Show (http://www.markgungorshow.com/) about marriage. Also on iTunes, but I don’t have a media device to download them to, so I listen to them on my laptop after the kids are in bed for the night.
Both of these podcasts address topics that are not for little ears, so be forewarned. They are laugh out loud funny, though, and will cause you to think about things you may not have actually taken time to think about before.
Gerry
I do so many of the same things. My vacuum is ALWAYS out~~I usually don’t even think to put it away. I love a comfortable home~~and I think mine IS that, but my housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. I have too many other things that I like to do and guess I’m easily distracted!
Plus, all of the things I LOVE to do, like watercolor painting, sewing, knitting, are messy, too.
Karen
I listen to Dave Ramsey, Entreleadership, Family Talk with James Dobson, Andy Stanley at Northpoint Church, and Steven Furtick at Elevation Church. I love to listen to some good preaching while I’m cleaning.
Jenny
Thanks for the great podcasts! I haven’t listened to them in a while since my iPod died and never occurred to me there is an app for my iPhone. Just installed it and subscribed to lots of the suggested ones. Also, can you tell us which brand/style wireless earphones you have? Thanks!
Mona
You’d love “homemakers by choice” by Donna Otto!
Kristy @ Little Natural Cottage
My “secret weapon” is that I’m super task-oriented! Like any personality trait, that can be both good and bad (I really struggle with the “just sit down and play with my kids” part).
I love, love, love Nancy Leigh DeMoss too! I’ve never really tuned into podcasts yet… obviously I’m missing out! I love inspiring and encouraging pep talks by some of my favorite speakers and authors, so I need to get with the program here! 🙂
Great post, Erin.
Kat Lee
You’re so sweet, Erin! It was such an honor to have you on the show.
Morgan
I also discovered podcasts and thought they were LIFE CHANGING! I really recommend the Church at Brook Hills podcast! My favorite ones were titled something like “Biblical Womanhood” and “The Ultimate Disconnect”. I am so thankful I “found” those podcasts when I did. They truly made me see Christianity as more than “go to church, be a nice person” and more of a radical, life-changing relationship with Jesus.
Elisa
My secret is my timer. I am diagnosed with ADD and this is the only way to do something from start to end.
Crystal
Great post with terrific podcast options! I’ve been listening to Pat Flynn for a while now since I’m ultra-new to the blogging scene. I also started reading A Slob Comes Clean on her blog and didn’t realize there was a podcast. Stoked! I too despise housework and with two businesses, a blog, a husband that works full-time and two small children I really need to figure out a way to tackle this on-going showing of a messy house. Your timing couldn’t have been better! Thank you and love your blog!
Jessica
I’ve been meaning to start listening to podcasts as my husband keeps telling me all about the ones he listens to.
On laundry: I’d rather scrub toilets than put up laundry! I have found that if I don’t fold them right out of the dryer and take it then, they don’t get put up.
I don’t juggle an at home business but our lives revolve around my 7 year old daughter who is fighting brain cancer for the second time in 2 years. At any moment things can change and I am the type of person who likes to have it all figured out and know what’s next! And that’s impossible. So I work hard at things I can control like housework. And Ive also learned how to deal with things when they get out of control. Anyway! Good read:). Love your blog!!!!
Leigh Ann
Also remember you can search for podcasts about very specific things. For instance, I am interested in the fiber arts such as knitting and spinning. This subject alone has more podcasts than I could ever listen too. One that is particularly nice is CraftLit which is audiobooks for crafters to read. The podcaster talks about crafts briefly, then talks about the book, author, setting, etc. Then a chapter or two of a classic is read. I really enjoyed Jane Eyre on this podcast. You can use a podcast app on your smartphone to download all the back episodes so you have the book in its entirety.
Noahla Purdy
Hi, This is a great post!! I also just discovered that listening to podcasts REALLY help with the drudgery of housework!!! Thanks for telling others!! One I really enjoy that you might like is “Know your food with Wardeh” She has a blog called Gnowfglins! It’s great!!
Brooke
House music makes housework possible. Try Deadmau5!
Rachel Elliotte
I love podcast! One of my favorites is the YouTube Mommy Meetup.
Andrea Smith
You sound JUST like me! Without something to listen to, I sort of wander listlessly from task to task. Housework just doesn’t inspire me. I was really sad when I realized I heard the last of the Zion Chronicles on Audiobook, but now I have something else to turn to. I also listen to Focus on the Family broadcasts and have favorite radio stations for different times of the day. Hmm. I need to make a pinterest board with these ideas or something so I can reference them later. Also, something I can listen to as I move from room to room or while vacuuming sounds awesome. I’ll maybe put a headset on my wishlist! 🙂
Christina
I have found that the illusion of someone in the house with me(via my iphone), has helped me to maintain a somewhat clean house. I have downloaded the focus on the family app but have found that some days their talking points don’t apply to me and therefore I loose interest which leads to me not getting as much done s I could have. Like you, I was, in a sense, intimidated by podcasts. After reading this blog post, I will give them a try. Do you have a recommended app for Iphone?
Heather
Can I just say how encouraging it was to hear you say that you don’t enjoy housework? 🙂 As a new SAHM with a one year old and another on the way, I have struggled with keeping up with the cleaning- not because it’s such a huge amount of work but because I don’t enjoy it. I’ve often joked that my goal in life is to make enough money to hire someone else to clean my house! Alas, we are not there yet so I am left with tricking myself into believing it is fun. I enjoy audio books, particularly novels, because they require less focus. I can still let part of my brain keep track of my son! Thank you for the encouragement, and for the great podcast suggestions.
Pam
I love podcasts and have been listening to them for years. Some of my favorites are the Satellite Sisters, NPR: Story of the Day, Joyce Meyer’s Radio Podcast, Brain Stuff. I used to live out in a rural area where there wasn’t good radio reception in our house. Podcasts saved my sanity while cleaning. Great post!
Thanks!
Sabrina
I love this podcast by Angelo Coppola. He breaks it up into different sections and the topics are always entertaining and informative. He focuses more on the marketing side of big corporations and how they are selling us garbage. It truly makes you think “Why did I ever buy that crap”. Thanks for all you do to help! I am inspired by you and have been a follower for years. 🙂
M
smartphone + headphones + you tube search for favorite songs = free music while you clean
[email protected]
Erin, I’m just seeing this post of yours. I would love to listen to podcasts one day when I actually get a smartphone. One thing I’m curious about though is how it works out with little kids. They get into enough mischief when I am paying attention. I’m afraid they would destroy the entire house if I got into a listening “zone”, especially with a headset on. Have you had any trouble? Or do you just do your housework during naptime?
Pamela
I have listened to podcasts for several years and have become addicted to the “voices in my head.” There are podcasts on EVERY subject imaginable. One that I would recommend is the Daily Audio Bible. Brian Hardin reads about 25 minutes of scripture every single day and it is my go-to every day. I have learned a lot of history, literature, and organization over the last few years. It is the only way I can get through the monotony of housework and other routine work. Love your encouragement and help! Thanks
Rachel Lane
My cousin introduced me to Revive Our Hearts a couple of months ago and I listen to Nancy while washing the dishes every day. 🙂 With a family of seven and no dishwasher but me, it takes longer than twenty minutes to get the dishes done, though, so I’m excited to try out some of your suggestions!
Pat Flynn
Thanks for the shout out Erin! I’m sorry you you didn’t dig the first listen of my podcast, but if there’s anything I can help you with please let me know! Cheers!
Becky
Stuff you missed in History and stuff your mom never told you
Amy
I am doing a seasonal job packing orders. I listen to a sermon from Elevation Church, NC – Steven Furtick every day! He is SO good. Funny too!! 🙂 Really helps the day go faster. 🙂
Lisa
I love listening to sermons by favorite pastors (John Piper, Matt Chandler), podcasts from the Dennis Prager Show (Paid Pragertopia subscription), and audio from classical educators (CirceInstitute, Susan Wise Bauer, Veritas Press Teacher Training, and Carole Joy Seid.) I also listen to audio books and the audio bible.
Sarah
Umm I’m deaf so yea I can’t listen to those. Any other ideas to help me out???? 😉
Marsha
One podcast I have listened to (over and over) is Flylady’s Crisis Cleaning podcast. For me, when my house is gross and I can’t even think of where to start, it’s just what I need to get it livable and even guest ready. It’s an hour long, but step by step. Anyway, thanks for the new suggestions, I definitely want to check some of them out.
Jolynn McCormick
This is a great idea! I love it! I have 5 children. How do you make this work with your kids home? If I am listening to music etc. They are always asking me questions so I have to remove my headphones to answer them. Do you tell your kids to just leave you alone for a while while you do your work or how does this work for you? Thanks!
Leah
I love this post! (Ok, and all your other ones too!). Such a great idea. I often put on Pandora or something while attempting to “focus” on housework but I love to learn and listen so this is perfect! One of my very favorite podcasts which I think you’d love to is the pastor of Mosaic, a church I used to attend. He is a gifted leader, writer, and speaker. I highly recommend and thank you for all your recommendations!
Leah
I neglected to include his name! It is Erwin Mc Manus.
amber
Podcasts are the only way I can do dishes! Its challenging with toddlers. I’m often interrupted and need to pause podcast. Also I really need to have my ears available. We usually end up playing dance music and have a clean-the-house-dance-party together.
Sharonlynn
To assist me with my ADD tendencies, I make a list that helps me stay on track in tandem with the timer. That way I have something to keep me on task. My Husband accuses me of wasting time when I sit down to make a list, but if I don’t, I end up completely sidetracked as many of you have described.
Melissa
I LOVE podcasts! I listen all the time and to many of the same ones you do! They definitely help me clean. My kids enjoy listening with me too haha 😉
Erin
Fun! I can’t imagine life without them!
sylvia
i am so much like that, i start something think of something else to do and fly off to do it so many half done/half started projects and chores :/
Erin
Glad it’s not just me!
e4hand
Thanks for the podcast ideas. I too have been listening to podcasts to keep me motivated while cleaning, working in the garden, etc. A friend got me into them about two years ago after I got tired of listening to audio books. I am a stay at home mom but I clean a few houses for people in the area for extra cash. Podcasts really help me get through that and enjoy some “me time.” My favorites are The Ancestral RDs, Mountain Woman Radio, Pioneering Today, Wellness Mama, Know Your Food with Wardee, Revolution Health Radio, Permaculture Voices, the Survival Podcast (very libertarian view and not much about survival but more permaculture, gardening, homesteading, etc).
Erin
Thanks for the tips! I love Wardee…she is a friend! I need to check out Wellness Mama!
e4hand
I forgot to put Sexy Marriage Radio on there. It’s a Christian based podcast about marriage. It’s very good!
[email protected]
I have found a completely off-the-wall motivator for housework. it’s http://habitrpg.com It is a habit/to-do tracker that plays like a role playing game. When you complete tasks (you choose your own items in your lists, like clean basement, or wash dishes, or more long term things like research car purchase) , you get XP points to level up , gold and silver coins to buy armor, weapons, health potions, or other items that are dropped to earn unlock pets and mounts. It’s kinda silly, and I guess it only works if you like virtual world games. The lists are customizable and it’s so easy to see what’s on my list for the day, and there’s this satisfaction of checking it off the list, and whatever virtual awards are given for that task. You lose health points if you don’t do the task, or do a negative habit(like leave socks in the middle of the floor). Anyway, the things I used to put off, I now push myself to do, cuz it’s fun to get rewards, kinda silly, I know….but it works for me, and also for my kids (homework, chores, and encouraging good habits)
Erin
How fun! Thanks for the tip!
Jessica
I love listening to podcasts too. Perimeter Church Podcast is a great one!
Erin
Thanks for the tip!
Michelle Rivera
My kids are not-so-little anymore but I have ALWAYS struggled with keeping my mind on task so this was a great read and just asked my husband for an iPod. I have 3 children (2 adults and a 15yr old). Still homeschooling the 15yr old and we use DVDs for her so I’d have to plug in to not distract her while doing chores during school hours. I usually just blast my laptop and listen to Pandora or a sermon but I’m really looking forward to trying podcasts 🙂 Thanks so much!
Erin
Hope you enjoy it!
Kayla
Hi Erin. Here are my favorites:
1. Family Talk (Dr. Dobson)
2. Focus on the Family
3. Family Life
4. Dr. Charles Stanley
I’ve enjoyed reading all the other ideas! I am a SAHM of a busy 1 year old girl and wondering what you have your girls do as you are cleaning/listening to podcasts. I would love to be able to listen and clean!
Erin
Thanks for sharing! These all sound great! My girls are usually playing quietly with Little People, puzzles, etc. or watching a movie. BUT, my girls are older–2, 4 and 6. That’s important to note–they entertain each other! I think it’s almost harder when you have one b/c they want you to entertain them!
Sarah
This is the exact same thing I started doing a year ago as well! I switch between listening to Christian radio and Podcasts because it helped me keep love in my heart while doing the mundane tasks instead of resentment for my husband who gets to be out of the house, my child who is sleeping (seriously jealous) or my friends who are still enjoying their careers and have no children or husband yet. Do not get me wrong, I LOVE being a wife, mother, and homemaker but sometimes the never ending laundry and dishes can get to you! The podcast that I orginally fell in love with was Imperfect Wives. (I highly recommend it!) I would love to hear you on a podcast talking all things wife/mother/homemaker related!
Erin
I’m so glad to hear you are enjoying podcasts as well, Sarah! I have never heard of Imperfect Wives. Thanks for the tip!! I would LOVE to do a podcast one day, but I am so technologically-challenged! LOL Maybe one day I’ll do it, though!
Melissa
Thank you for this!! Never thought to listen to Podcast while trying to be productive around the house hehe. I never know what to search for and now I have several to try 🙂 I’ve only listen to my churches podcasts. THANKS again
Trayc
First, I haven’t written on my blog in months because my summer blue up with baseball and my home is just now getting out from under it.
Second, audio books are also great for getting into the feeling of having a friend there to keep you motivated. If I’m talking my garage I’m listening to something frivolous and fun because there NOTHING frivolous or fun about tracking my garage. However, if I’m digging in and just cleaning I’m listening to great non-fiction books that take my thinking to another level. I’m so much like you in that I know how to clean and can do it on autopilot, but it I want to stay focused my dream big and go for it muscle has better be getting a workout. (Well, in all honesty, somedays it’s my Lord I can’t do this, remind me I can knot in the muscle that needs to be worked out) Depending on the day it’s a good political thriller, historical romance mystery, Bible teacher, or motivational do-er (cleaning while listening to KonMari? Excellent motivation!)
Third, podcasts are awesome, too! We changed churches a couple years ago for a smaller youth group for our kids, and I miss our old pastor’s sermons. Being able to listen to him and then throwing in some wonderful Insight with Chuck Swindoll makes every cleaning session a better day!
Thanks for the reminders of some podcasts if forgotten, too, ( Love Michael Hyatt! ) and now I’ve got to look up Kat! Have a wonder-filled Holiday season!
Erin
Thanks for the tip!
Nancy
Very different from other usual post! I love the idea of listening to podcasts. Personally i put music to do my chores but its a great idea to listening podcast Thanks for your wonderful posts 🙂
Karenanne Maddox
You might like Jammeril Stewart at Large Family Table. I know she vlogs not sure if she podcasts but is a Christian, homeschooling Mom of eight.
