Cellulite — that annoying thing that most of us deal with.
It doesn’t seem to matter how small you are, you will likely still see it on parts of your body. I want to share with you a coffee scrub recipe that I’ve used over the last few months and what it’s done for me.
A few years ago, I lost 30 pounds over the course of a year. It was a great accomplishment for me! The most disappointing thing about it is that I still had a lot of visible cellulite. This makes it even harder for me to get in a bathing suit in summer.
No one is going to look airbrushed the way a picture of a model is, but you can reduce the appearance a bit with this coffee scrub recipe.

How to Use The Coffee Scrub
Before you get in the shower, use a skin brush to stimulate the trouble spots. This will get your blood flowing and buff away dead skin, making it easier for the scrub to seep into your body.
While in the shower, use about a quarter size amount of grounds to start with. Rub the mixture all over your trouble areas for a few minutes.
Get more of the scrub if you need to for other areas.
Leave the mixture on your skin for a couple of minutes and then rinse off yourself and the shower.
I’ve been using this scrub every morning in the shower. I will give you fair warning that it will get coffee grinds everywhere. You’ll have to take the time to rinse your shower out when you are done.
Follow up by rubbing coconut oil, or your favorite natural product on your skin to moisturize it. Coconut oil is what I’ve used the most, but I’ve also used castor oil and Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream.
Other Things You Can Do To Reduce The Appearance of Cellulite
Using a coffee scrub recipe is one of the ways you can help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Other things you should do include:
- Drink plenty of water.
Hydrated skin will mask what’s going on under the surface. This will help with wrinkles and stretch marks as well. - Do targeted exercises.
Since I deal with cellulite on my legs and bottom, I do a lot of squats and windmills to tone those parts of my body. - Get sunlight.
Not all sunlight is bad for you. In fact, we need to get out in the sun. I sit out in the sun for about 15 minutes a day when it is warm enough. This gives me enough of a tan to cover up the appearance of cellulite a bit, without exposing myself to harmful rays. - Lose weight.
Since cellulite is fat, dropping a few pounds will help with the issue. It isn’t going to eliminate cellulite, but it can make it less noticeable.
It takes a combination of things to see results in your problem areas. Just try a few things and see what works.
What Results Can I Expect?
As with anything, you can’t expect your results to be the same as someone else, so you shouldn’t compare.
What I have noticed with the daily scrub is that my skin is definitely tighter. Since my skin is tighter, the cellulite I deal with is not as prominent. It’s still there and you can still see it, but it is less noticeable.
Also, between the skin brushing, coffee scrub, and coconut moisturizer, my legs feel smooth. I don’t feel the dimples and roughness that I used to feel. Overall, I think my skin is much healthier since I started doing this.
Just know this, you are amazing just the way you are. It is so important that you learn how to feel beautiful before you start doing things to change your appearance. I say that, because if you don’t know how to accept the way you are today, you likely won’t accept the changes you make either.
Focus on the health benefits of this recipe and if you see results, then that is great!
