Over the years, I’ve grown to LOVE shopping online–especially shopping for natural living products online! In this post, I outline the 8 places where I personally shop for natural living products online. These online shopping venues have made my life so much easier–and have saved me money as well!
Do you ever shop for natural living products online? When I first began my natural living journey, I was at a loss for where to shop. At the time, we had one small, locally-owned health store in our community.
I would shop the clearance rack at this store, but their regular prices were outside of my family’s budget. Eventually, the store closed. I was left with nowhere local to purchase the products that my family now uses on a regular basis.
Thankfully, I discovered some great places to shop for natural living products online.
Eco-friendly, non-toxic, and natural living products are growing in popularity but are still difficult to find in some areas. This is especially true if you live in a rural community.
I now prefer to shop for natural living products online. This saves me both time and money:
1. I save time because I don’t have to get dressed, get the my kids dressed, buckle my youngest into his carseats and drive all over town to take care of our household needs.
2. I save money because I do not waste gas driving to the variety of stores it takes to check off my shopping list.
3. I also save money because, let’s be honest, when I am shopping in person I’m often drawn to the clearance bins and specials for things we don’t necessarily need. When those things end up in my shopping cart, I am not saving money no matter how cheap they are. Unless I truly needed them, I’m just spending more money than I intended to spend.
4. It saves me money because most of the time online retailers offer my favorite products for a much lower price than brick-and-mortar stores! Some even price match (see Grove Co. below!)!
5. Some (but not all) of these online retailers also offer subscription services. Subscription services can be tricky, but if you can work them to your benefit and set them up to arrive when you want them to, this can also help you with budgeting because you know exactly how much your items will cost each time your order is processed.

8 places to shop for natural living products online
1. Shop Online via Azure Standard
Azure is a natural living co-op that offers a wide range of natural and organic food and household products. Azure also sells bulk items.
I like to describe Azure as kind of like Whole Foods online–but more affordable!
I’ve been able to purchase farm fresh produce, frozen meats, eggs, dairy products, frozen and canned produce, pantry items, cleaning items, health items, and more from Azure.
There is no membership fee to join, but if you place an order less than $50, you do have a small surcharge of $5. This is only if you order. There is no obligation to order at all.
Azure is different from other online venues in that you only place an order once per month, and you only pick up your order once per month. The orders do not come to your doorstep, which can be a bummer. Instead, the orders are delivered to a “drop” location near you.
Essentially, Azure is a hybrid of shopping for natural living products online and not since you do have to drive to the drop location to pick up your orders.
Azure members gather at the drop location to pick up their orders. A benefit of this is that members can easily split bulk orders at the drop site and save even more money.
I place an Azure order almost every month. I mostly order food items that I cannot get locally, like certain organic meats and certain organic frozen veggies as well as some bulk spices. Always check their “clearance” section and “sale” section when you begin shopping. You never know what may end up there. I once scored more than 20 pounds of organic apples for just $.63 per pound!
Our drop location is just ten minutes from our house, in a bowling alley parking lot. It’s super convenient and I love not having to drive to faraway grocery stores to get the items I order online from Azure!
Perks
Azure has a great cash back program, where you can earn credit back for certain items you purchase. The credit really adds up, and it feels like free money.
Azure also has a referral program. If you sign up for a free account with my link, I will get $25 if you end up placing an order of $100 or more within the first 60 days after creating an account. You will then, in turn, have your own referral link that you can share with others.
Shipping
If you are in an area with a fuel surcharge, you will also have a small shipping charge added to your invoice once the truck is loaded.
2. Get Online Delivery via Butcher Box
Butcher Box delivers organic, high-quality meats–right to your doorstep! I love this option to shop for natural meats online!
Not only does Butcher Box offer a huge convenience, but they also provide some of the highest quality meats on the market. You can either get a one-off box and cancel your subscription, or you can subscribe to get boxes monthly, every other month, or however often you wish.
Perks
Butcher Box offers amazing deals, where you can sign up to get free products for life!
They run a free-ground-beef-for-life several times per year, a free-bacon-for-life deal, and a free-wings-for-life deal. If you are already a member when these deals run, you can add the free food for life for a one-time fee and continue to get them in your boxes for as long as you have a subscription!
Shipping
Shipping is FREE!
3. Shop Online via Grove Co
Receive a Grove Sustainable Starter Set for FREE with your 1st purchase of $20+. Click here to get it.
I’ve been shopping at Grove Co for many years now. In fact, they were probably one of the very first venues where I began shopping for natural living products online.
Grove sells natural and eco-friendly household products, like cleaners and toiletries. They also sell some supplements and other personal care items.
(You can read my full, honest review of Grove here.)
Grove Co is a subscription service, but you can space your orders out however length of time you wish (one month, two months, six months, etc.), and you can cancel at any time! If you are a VIP member (like I am!), you can order boxes on demand, so you never have to worry about getting a surprise box or needing to cancel.
Perks
Grove Co has an amazing referral program. If you spread the word about Grove, every person you refer will get a a 5-piece gift set, and you will get a $10 credit when they check out! It’s a win-win!
A little-known fact is that Grove actually price matches! This is how that works:
“To price match, just add the product to your cart, and send us the link to where you see it for less at [email protected].
“We will adjust before your next shipment so that you get the best price! Unfortunately, price matches cannot be applied to first time orders, and cannot be applied retroactively to past orders.”
VIP Members get FREE shipping, special sales, and free gifts. VIP membership is $19.99 per year. I’ve always been a VIP at Grove and find it well worth it!
Shipping
VIP members get free shipping. Otherwise, shipping is a flat fee of $4.99 per order. ALL orders over $49 always ship for free–whether you’re a VIP or not!
4. Get Organic Produce Delivered via Misfits Market
After hearing friends rave about this organic produce delivery service for a long time, I finally gave it a try recently. I’m hooked!
Misfits is the best venue I’ve found for shopping for organic product online.
The premise of Misfits Market is that they will send you misshapen or “misfit” produce at a reduced rate because it’s not “pretty.”
If you care more about how your food tastes and how healthy it is versus how it looks, then this may be a good service for you. They deliver produce boxes weekly or every other week–right to your doorstep! You can also pause orders at any time. Use coupon code COOKWME-NN4IOY to get 25% off your first order!
5. Shop Online via Vitacost.com
This online store has been a long-time favorite of mine. Like Grove, it’s another place where I’ve been shopping for natural living products online for years.
Traditionally, I have purchased most of our supplements, vitamins, etc. from here. In fact, most of my natural medicine cabinet and winter supplements regimen come from here!
Vitacost has a huge selection, including shelf-stable gluten-free and health{ier} food items, and they also offer beauty, toiletry, and baby items.
I have found that the supplements are usually the best deal, with the Vitacost brand items being the the most affordable.
Vitacost offers a subscription service for your favorite items–called “Set and Save”– but this is a feature I honestly don’t use. I find their system a little trickier to cancel, so I’ve opted to just remind myself to order when I need things. Instead of the subscription, I use my “List” feature to save things I want to order, and I love that they save old orders in my account.
Since I typically order the same items now, when I am placing an order I will just go look back at my previously-ordered items and quickly make a new order from there.
Shipping
Vitacost sends out regular emails with coupon codes and specials, and they almost always offer free shipping if you’re buying at least $25 worth of Vitacost brand items.
Shipping is always free for orders of $49 or more. If you do have to pay for shipping, it’s just a $5 flat rate (so it makes more sense to get as much as you can in that order).
I usually post my Vitacost orders on Facebook and Instagram, so you can get an idea of what I order there.
6. Subscribe & Save via Amazon.com
The key is shopping at Amazon is to sign up for their Prime membership, which gives FREE, 2-day (or less!) shipping to millions of items. A Prime membership also gives you instant access to thousands of movies and TV episodes and allows you the opportunity to borrow Kindle books!
Get a FREE, 30-day trial to Amazon Prime here.
Amazon probably isn’t the first place that comes to mind when shopping for natural living products online, but it definitely has a ton of natural living products.
Shipping
I think the really nice thing about Amazon Prime is that you can get free and fast shipping. I don’t know if Amazon is really worth it without Prime (seriously, sign up for your FREE Prime trial here!).
Like Vitacost, I like that Amazon stores past orders, so I can easily remember what I like to order through them. It is worth it to price check Vitacost vs. Amazon because sometimes one will be cheaper than the other.
7. Shop Online via Healthy Traditions
Formerly called Tropical Traditions, Healthy Traditions sells high-quality coconut oils, palm oils and shortening, organic meats, pantry staples, personal care and household items, and more.
When our girls were dairy-free, I began purchasing palm shortening from Healthy Traditions to make my dairy-free cake icing.
I have since ordered oats, coconut oil, and chicken from them–but only when they run sales. Healthy Traditions is probably one of the most expensive of these online venues that offers the ability to shop for natural living products online. However, if you sign up for their newsletter, they will send lots of sales, coupon codes, and even free shipping promos all the time.
I like to combine sales and free shipping to get more bang for my buck.
Perks
Healthy Traditions offers both wholesale pricing and a healthy buyers club to keep costs lower for frequent shoppers.
Shipping
Shipping prices vary and are based on weight and where the items are being shipped. Healthy Traditions sends out free shipping promos often enough that I always wait for these to order.
8. Shop Online & Pick Up In Store via Vitamin Shoppe
I discovered Vitamin Shoppe when they opened a brick-and-mortar store in my town. We started shopping there a few years ago for supplements and protein bars, but I recently discovered that you can order from them online as well. Vitamin Shoppe sends out some great coupon codes, and, if you do have a store local to you, you can order online and pick up in store.
Perks
Vitamin Shoppe offers a Healthy Rewards program, where you can earn credit back for each dollar you spend! The more you spend, the higher your reward will be.
Vitamin Shoppe also offers FREE nutrition coaching to Healthy Rewards members!
Shipping
Vitamin Shoppe offers FREE shipping on orders of $25 or more.
Shop Online via these Bonus Stores:
While our family shops for a variety of household items and/or foods online at the stores above, there are also a few items we get at the following online stores:
1) Beautycounter.com – This is where I buy all of my natural makeup and most of my skincare products. Beautycounter boasts that they are free of more than 1,800 common toxins. I love this clean beauty brand!
2) Lola – I usually wear cloth pads, but when I am traveling or swimming, I wear this natural brand of tampons. I order directly from the site.
3) Essential Oils – We love essential oils, but we aren’t brand loyal. We order our oils from Doterra, Rocky Mountain Oils or Plant Therapy or Spark Naturals.
4) Free Reign Farm – When we started our journey toward more natural living, Will and I didn’t really think about toiletry products at first. Then we discovered Free Reign Farm (Use code THH10 for 10% off your order). They offer a full line of clean, natural, quality products. We love Free Reign Farm and haven’t found a product of theirs that we don’t love.
5) Thrive Market – We have admittedly never shopped at Thrive Market before, but I have friends who rave about them, so I felt they deserved a bonus mention. Thrive Market is an online wholesale club that sells natural and organic foods! Click here to get $25 off your first order!
While not completely online, you may also want to check out my post on finding natural living products at Target.
Completely Honest Reviews
Since online shopping is growing so much in popularity right now, I have decided to delve into some even more comprehensive reviews of each of these online venues with a new series called “Completely Honest Reviews of Online Shopping Venues.”
I’ll be sharing the good, the bad, how to maximize perks, look for sales, etc. (Several years ago, I wrote my completely honest review of Grove Co., but I will be updating this post as well.) I will be featuring one venue per week in these in-depth reviews.
Make sure you are signed up for my weekly newsletter list, so you don’t miss a post!
